Litsong Lu¡¦s report on the world indigo day in Hsin-Chu, Taiwan
|
The Resource Center of Self-Directed Learning hosted the world indigo day peace vigil (1/29, noon to dusk) and conducted one showing (2pm) of the movie INDIGO. The event took place at the ground lever of a local health food market with a fine restaurant known as the natural gourmet restaurant known as Orange Mart. The condition of the space (both indoor for showing the movie and discussion, and the outdoor for the exhibition and activities) have not been used for over a year. We were offered to use the location at no charge provided that we take care of the setting up and cleaning. Due to the reality, we were not able to announce the movie would be shown with Chinese subtitle, and that limited the publicity we could have done. Yet, by words of mouth and of course the way it should be, we had a perfect day with a small gathering (with 38 viewers who actually can set aside two hours of free time to appreciate the film in quietness, plus twice more people came by to see the exhibition and handmade life style fare, many could not view the movie due to the family condition with small children (some family delegated and managed to have at least one parent get into the cinema area, some have to wait till the DVD come out). Overall the viewing (with the English only parts of the intro and interview) was smooth. Most of the audience found a great relieve to have the Chinese subtitle (which we received only 24 hrs before the showing). I would urge you to kindly consider putting the Chinese subtitle for the DVD, so more people can appreciate the film and hear the message this film wish to spread. We are proud to have many wonderful friends putting out their beautiful booth and displayed their earnest talent in format they so choose including book fare (body mind and spiritual growth), waldorf education, natural learning /self-directed learning, music, natural foo d sharing, handmade craft and the message of the water. I as the hostess made about 120 beeswax candles for people who wish to bring the essence of love and light to further places and share the warm glow of such event with other people in their lives. The sponsorship / donation we have received was generous. Without charging the admission as I mentioned before we sign the contract with you, I have the vision this is the way to start here, this is the way I do things, and our new friends of the indigo day event support more then enough to make this day enjoyable touching, we all gained more the we had offered. The discussion following the movie was relaxed and loving yet also emotionally intense in a subtle way, a few people has indigo child and also indigo adult spoke up and shared their perspective. The love, acceptance and support as the healing energy flew through the room among all were phenomenal, after the discussion we held hands in a circle and felt the love went through all of us before we open the circle and sharing hugs and tears with silent smiles. Thank you all. Our Lunar New Year is coming and the post /mail may be delayed somewhat, as our tradition of this major celebration will take place soon (2/9). I try to send this update by email hope it reach you in time for the decision for future release of the DVD (please include the Chinese subtitle). I will await for your confirmation, there are already people on the request list for the DVD.
